Welcome Home has a new director of activities, SHELLY SOWERS, who has over 30 years of experience serving seniors and people with disabilities.

Sowers has worked in a variety of areas at the hospital, ranging from labor and delivery to intergenerational daycare. Additionally, she has experience driving a para transit bus.

Sowers was raised in Oak Harbor and graduated high school in 1985. She married and relocated to Portland, Ore. to raise her family. She recently moved back to the island to be closer to family.
