A search-and-rescue team from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island conducted a medical evacuation from Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles to the University of Washington Hospital Saturday.

The six-team crew responded to an early morning call for a man whose pacemaker was not functioning properly, according to a press release. The crew launched just before 3:45 a.m. and arrived at Olympic Medical Center at 4 a.m.

This was the 20th medical evacuation of the year for NAS Whidbey SAR.
