More than 150 gathered for 17th annual dinner | Letter

They came, they ate, they laughed and ate some more!

Editor,

They came, they ate, they laughed and ate some more!

The 17th Annual Coupeville Community Thanksgiving Dinner was a great success and we estimated we serve approximately 150 people.

Having newly agreed to help with this wonderful, heart-warming endeavor, we were worried about being able to pull it off, but “we” did.

“We” being members of my family and the Coupeville community at large. We could not have done it without the expert gravy making skills of Jan Burrow, the carving skills of Dale Stirling, the donations of turkeys, hams and the wonderful array of side dishes and desserts.

Kathleen Jo Ryan was dish washer extraordinaire.

A sincere thanks to all the other countless volunteers.

Thank you for helping make this transition year an easy one. Coupeville is just that way.

I am looking forward to serving you all again next year. If you would like to volunteer, please contact me at the Pacific NorthWest Art School, 360-678-3396, or visit us at 15 N.W. Birch St., Coupeville.
