Meeting addresses challenges of gluten intolerance

The Gluten Intolerance Group on Whidbey invites anyone interested to attend a presentation on the challenges of gluten intolerance at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Trinity Lutheran Church annex, 18341 Highway 525, Freeland.

The Gluten Intolerance Group on Whidbey invites anyone interested to attend a presentation on the challenges of gluten intolerance at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Trinity Lutheran Church annex, 18341 Highway 525, Freeland.

Nutritionist and registered dietitian Beve Kindblade will give a presentation about the challenges of gluten intolerance, including how to heal your gut through nutrition. She will discuss super foods for healing, how to boost your immune system naturally and how to purchase high quality supplements on a budget.

It is estimated that one in 30 people have a sensitivity to the protein in wheat, or gluten. Anyone interested in the presentation or the Whidbey Island group can call 360-321-4083.
