Littlejohn receives WIAA honor

Coupeville junior soccer player Mia Littlejohn received the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association’s 1A Player of the Week honor for week four of the fall season.

Coupeville junior soccer player Mia Littlejohn received the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association’s 1A Player of the Week honor for week four of the fall season.

Littlejohn scored three goals against Mount Vernon Christian Sept. 19 and four against North Mason Sept. 22 to lead the Wolves to a pair of wins.

The three scores against Mount Vernon Christian gave Littlejohn 12 for the season, bettering the school’s single season scoring mark of 10 with 11 matches remaining.

Littlejohn has since added to her total, with 19 as of Oct. 3.

She joins Coupeville football player Hunter Smith on the WIAA honor roll for 2016. Smith won the award for week one.
