Jamboree by the Sea coming in April

Deception Pass Sail and Power Squadron, a Washington non-profit, is hosting two public service events called Jamboree By The Sea and Marine Swap Meet concurrently Saturday morning, April 6 at Catalina Park and the Marina parking lot in Oak Harbor.

The events are free to the public.

The Marine Swap Meet starts at 8 a.m. and the Jamboree starts at 10 a.m. and emphasizes on-the-water safety, education and awareness. There will be equipment demonstrations.

Both events end at 4 p.m. Free hot dogs and chili are provided by the Oak Harbor Elks Club beginning at 11 a.m. until gone.

Various federal, state, county and public entities are donating their time to these events.
