HomePlace hires new exec. director

Mandy McKenzie, L.P.N., has been appointed the new executive director of HomePlace Memory Care, an Oak Harbor residential facility for people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other forms of memory loss.

Mandy McKenzie, L.P.N., has been appointed the new executive director of HomePlace Memory Care, an Oak Harbor residential facility for people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other forms of memory loss. Amanda Johnson, R.N., is the facility’s new health-services director. McKenzie has 23 years of nursing experience and 30 years of management experience. She most recently served as an executive director for Milestone Properties, an assisted-living program. Johnson has 13 years of nursing experience, including time in the emergency room, intensive-care unit, operating room and acute rehab.
