Highway clear after crash

Highway 20 is now clear after a two-car crash just north of the intersection of Monroe Landing Road and Highway 20 that happened around 10:40 a.m.

Highway 20 is now clear after a two-car crash just north of the intersection of Monroe Landing Road and Highway 20 that happened around 10:40 a.m.

A 75-year-old Oak Harbor woman heading northbound in a Chevy Blazer was stopped waiting to make a left hand turn when she was rear-ended by a Subaru Outback, said Washington State Patrol Trooper Mark Francis.

The Oak Harbor woman was transported to Whidbey General Hospital with injuries. A 17-year-old girl from Coupeville was driving the Outback. She was not hurt and will be cited, Francis said.
