Photo by Michael Watkins/Whidbey News-Times Wyatt Waite, Grace Waite, Maggie Waite and Isabel Waite take advantage of the first snow of the season in Oak Harbor Friday. Meteorologists predicted the snow earlier in the week but it finally fell Thursday night into Friday morning. About two inches of snow fell on North Whidbey. Oak Harbor schools started two hours late and personnel at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island were asked to arrive two hours later than normal.
