Central Whidbey Island Fire &Rescue received the distinguished budget presentation award for the fourth consecutive year.

The award, given by the Govern-ment Finance Officer Association, means the district satisfied nationally recogonized guidelines for an effective budget presentation.

The district’s budget is also published on the GFOA website as an example of a “best practice” governmental budget.
