Clinching its second consecutive Olympic League championship, the Coupeville High School tennis team defeated visiting Chimacum 6-1 Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Clinching its second consecutive Olympic League championship, the Coupeville High School tennis team defeated visiting Chimacum 6-1 Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Coupeville now holds a 4-0 conference record with two matches remaining. Klahowya is in second with a 2-2 record; both losses thanks to the Wolves.

Coupeville (4-0, 5-6) plays at Klahowya (2-2, 3-8) at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6.

In the win over Chimacum, the Wolves gave up only one point in the four doubles matches.

Singles: 1, Nick Etzell lost 7-6(7-4), 6-1; 2, Jakobi Baumann won 6-1, 7-5; 3, Mason Grove won 6-0, 7-5.

Doubles: 1, Joseph Wedekind/John McClarin won 6-1, 6-0; 2, William Nelson/Joey Lippo won 6-0, 6-0; 3, Jimmy Myers/Grey Rische won 6-0, 6-0; 4, Aiden Crimmins/Tiger Johnson won 6-0, 6-0.
