Getting ready for a string of four consecutive conference matches, the Coupeville High School tennis team whipped visiting North Mason 5-1 in a non-league match Monday, Sept. 26.

The Wolves, 1-0 in the Olympic League and 2-6 overall, go to Chimacum (0-1, 0-7) at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, and host Klahowya (1-1, 1-6) at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, for a pair of conference contests, and then will switch sites with the same opponents next week.

Results versus North Mason (1-5):

Singles: 1, Nick Etzell lost 6-3, 6-3; 2, Jimmy Myers won 6-2, 6-2; 3, Grey Rische won 7-5, 6-1.

Doubles: Joseph Wedekind/John McClarin won 6-0, 6-0; 2, William Nelson/Joey Lippo won 6-0, 6-0.

Jakobi Baumann won an exhibition match 8-0.
