Passengers riding along on State Highway 20 over Deception Pass will get extra time to admire the view this week.

Washington State Department of Transportation bridge inspection crews will close one lane of Deception Pass bridge from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 through Friday, April 21 for bridge inspection.

Flaggers will be in place to alternate traffic through the work zone. Anyone needing to travel between Whidbey Island and Skagit County during this time should schedule extra travel time to get to appointments, transportation officials advise.
