All three sets were close, with the Vikings escaping with 25-22, 25-20, 25-22 wins.

“They battled and fought well,” Coupeville coach Breanne Smedley said. “We had great strings of points, then would let them creep back in in service receive. Still working on finishing and closing out games under pressure.”

Sydney Autio paced the Wolves with 16 service points and 14 assists.

Katrina McGranahan finished with three aces and six kills, while McKenzie Bailey added six kills and Payton Aparicio five.

The Wolves (1-6) entertain Port Townsend (1-4) at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, in the final non-league match.

Coupeville will close out the season with six conference matches, beginning when Klahowya visits at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13.
