Art school hosting presentation by National Geographic photographer

Renowned photographer Sam Abell will give a lecture and photo presentation at the Pacific Northwest Art School in Coupeville 7 p.m. Thursday, May 24.

Abell’s photos have been published in National Geographic magazine.

The lecture is free. The school is located at 15 NW Birch St., Coupeville.

Abell learned photography from his father in his hometown of Sylvania, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Kentucky and worked as a photographer for National Geographic for 33 years. He’s published several books.

Currently, he works at the Pacific Northwest Art School, where he’s taught a master level photography class for the past 18 years.
