Don't worry if you live in the Crescent Harbor area and hear gunfire coming from the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station Seaplane Base tomorrow.

NAS Whidbey's Security Department will be conducting weapons training with blank rounds in the designated survival training area located on the Seaplane Base near Crescent Harbor on Tuesday, July 13.

The training will be conducted during normal working hours. No night fire exercises will occur.

"People living in and around the training area will likely hear the sounds of gunfire but should not be alarmed," states a news release from Kim Martin, public information officer.

This training is similar to training held in early June.
