The Board of Island County Commissioners, Helen Price Johnson, Angie Homola and John Dean, will host a public forum Monday, June 21 at 6 p.m. in the board’s Hearing Room in the basement of the County Annex Building, 1 NE Sixth St., Coupeville.

Islanders from throughout the county are welcome to attend. Other such forums will be held on Camano, South Whidbey and North Whidbey at dates to be announced.

Price Johnson said the aim of the forums is to “solicit ideas and hear general concerns about local communities.” One issue sure to solicit comments is the commissioners’ decision to ask voters for a property tax increase in August.
