WSF officials to talk ferry priorities in May meetings

The state Department of Transportation Ferries Division is holding a series of public meetings in May. Ferry officials will provide information and hear comments about a variety of issues about the ferry system. Topics could include vessel construction, vehicle reservations, efforts to improve on-time performance, the fare change process and emergency planning.
“I am looking forward to meeting with our customers and community members to discuss the direction received this legislative session and the priorities for the ferry system moving forward,” David Moseley, Washington State Ferries assistant secretary, said in a news release.
The community meetings in the area are as follows:
• Port Townsend: Monday May 3, noon to 1 p.m., Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St. RSVP at 360-385-7869.
• Whidbey Island: Monday, May 3, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 18341 Highway 525, Freeland.
