Boeing will conduct test flights of a Boeing 737 AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) at Outlying Field, located south of Coupeville just outside the border of Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve.

The Boeing “Wedgetail” is significantly larger and looks quite different from the EA-6B Prowler and EA-18G Growler that regularly train at the OLF.

The aircraft will make several passes during the test period. The aircraft will not land at the OLF.

Officials anticipate minimal impact to the populated area near the OLF, but want to ensure the residents in and around the OLF are aware of the Boeing test flights.

Boeing conducted similar test flights of the Wedgetail in December.
