A motorcycle rider from Coupeville suffered minor injuries and was transported to Whidbey General Hospital following an accident Tuesday night on South Whidbey.

The State Patrol reports that Travis McNeal, 22, was riding a 2006 Suzuki GSXR southbound on Useless Bay Road at 10:41 p.m. Approaching the bend at Millman Road, the vehicle left the roadway and hit the ditch. Speeding too fast for conditions was listed as the cause of the accident.
