Seattle woman injured on Whidbey

An Seattle woman was injured Wednesday evening when her vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a telephone pole.

The Washington State Patrol reports that Cathryn L. Patterson, 55, was driving southbound on Highway 20 at 6:54 p.m., near mile post 28 on Whidbey Island, when her 2002 Toyota Prius hit the pole.

The vehicle was totaled. She was transported to Whidbey General Hospital with unspecified injuries. She was wearing a seat belt and drugs or alcohol were not involved, according to the State Patrol report. The incident remains under investigation.
