A two-vehicle traffic accident involving a 1988 Honda Accord and a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle Friday afternoon sent a 38-year-old Oak Harbor resident to Whidbey General Hospital with unknown injuries.

According to police, 23-year-old Justin A. Holeman from Oak Harbor was driving the Honda westbound on Riepma Road at about 4 p.m. when he apparently failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the stop sign at the intersection of Arnold Road.

Troy D. Nelson was driving the motorcycle southbound on Arnold Road and collided with Holeman's vehicle.

Police report both vehicles were totalled and impounded at the scene of the accident by investigating officers.

Nelson's condition is not known.

The Washington State Patrol is continuing its investigation into the cause of the accident and no traffic citations have been issued.
