A man who arrived at Whidbey General Hospital with a gunshot wound early Friday morning will not cooperate with detectives.
Island County Sheriff Mark Brown said the 41-year-old Seattle man had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his left leg. He came to the hospital at about 5:30 a.m., but was then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.
Brown said investigators don't know if a crime was committed or if it was an accidental shooting.
"He's refusing the cooperate with law enforcement and claims he's not a victim," Brown said.
