Oak Harbor man airlifted to Harborview following Crosby Road crash
George Bernard Churchill, 69, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle following a one-car accident earlier today on Crosby Road in Oak Harbor.
The accident occurred at about 3:44 p.m.
According to a Washington State Patrol report released this evening, Churchill was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from his vehicle, a gold 2005 Honda Accord.
The State Patrol report said Churchill was traveling north on Crosby Road, crossed the center line, overcorrected and slid broadside into a tree.
The vehicle was impounded to A1 Towing.
Cause of the accident is under investigation, according to the State Patrol.
