North Whidbey Fire and Rescue hosting open house events

North Whidbey Fire and Rescue will host two open houses in September. The first one takes place 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at the Taylor Road Fire Station located at 3440 Taylor Road north of Oak Harbor. The second one takes place from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16, at the Monroe Landing Fire Station at 1160 Monroe Landing Road near the airport.

People attending the open houses will witness such training activities as a vehicle fire demonstration and a vehicle extrication. People can tour the facilities and engines, meet firefighters and enjoy hot dogs and popcorn.
