Thunder on the Rock had even more visitors than originally thought.

Whidbey Island Naval Air Station officials report that 25,000 people visited the base for Saturday’s airshow, while an additional 49,000 visitors attended Sunday.

The naval air station’s public affairs office phoned in updated figures on airshow attendance shortly before presstime Tuesday. The Whidbey News-Times received the updated information too late to change the attendance figures in the feature story about the airshow on page B1.
