"A few third- and fifth-graders from Oak Harbor Elementary School show off the food items they and other students at the school collected during a recent food drive. A competition between classes produced close to 2,500 cans and packaged goods with the fourth and fifth-graders of teacher Diane Robbins' class taking top honors. Fifth-grade teacher Randy Ross said the kids outdid last year's drive by about 1,000 cans. In all, 30 classrooms took part. Collection started on December 6. The food items will all be donated to Oak Harbor Help House. Many of the classes used the drive as a way to learn about teamwork, data collection, charts, mathematics and computer graphing. Pictured in the front row are Brittany Loveng, Marissa Price, Laurin Rico, Madison Shipley, Josh Eacrett, Claire Cochran and Natasha Gault. In the back are Jake Rouser, Charles Carlisle, Andy Forbes, Richard Harmann, Andrew Bakker and Kristen Attebery. "
