"SheriffThe following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriffs Office:Monday, Dec. 20At 5:41 p.m., an Inverness Way resident reported that someone stole a decorative glass ball from his front yard.At 9:36 p.m., a rural Oak Harbor resident reported that someone stole his outdoor Christmas decorations and threw them in a ditch.Tuesday, Dec. 21At 9:29 a.m., a rural Oak Harbor woman reported that she hit her stepfather.At 9:42 a.m., cows were reported on Monkey Hill Road. At 10:11 a.m., a 9-year-old child reported that her mother and her mothers boyfriend were fighting.At 10:50 p.m., a man reported that his sister said she was going to kill herself at Deception Pass bridge. There was no suicide. Wednesday, Dec. 22At 12:20 a.m., a man reported that another man was acting very strange and making strange body motions on Diane Avenue.At 10:57 a.m., a woman reported that someone broke into her sons car and stole stereo equipment, fog lights and CDs.At 3:32 p.m., a Wildwood Drive resident reported that someone stole furniture.Thursday, Dec. 23The following items were selected from reports made to the Oak Harbor Police Department:Saturday, Dec. 18At 9:20 a.m., a N.E. Twelveth Court resident reported the theft of outdoor Christmas lights.At 3:44 p.m., a N.E. OLeary Street resident reported that someone stole Christmas lights from her yard.At 10:32 p.m., a citizen reported seeing a couple of people dressed in black and wearing Scream masks running around the N.W. Prow Street area.At 11:43 p.m., a large fight was reported in front of For Petes Sake.Sunday, Dec. 19At 1:17 a.m., a N. Oak Harbor Street resident reported catching a prowler going through her diaper bag. The prowler ran out of her house when questioned.At 8:07 a.m., a S.W. Judson Drive resident reported that her Christmas lights were stolen.At 10:04 a.m., a S.W. Fireside Lane resident reported the theft of Christmas lights.COUPEVILLE MARSHALThe following items were selected from reports made to the Coupeville Marshals Office:Monday, Dec. 13At 7:10 p.m., there was a report that a 10-year-old girl was out of control and pushing people around.Thursday, Dec. 16At 3:10 a.m., a person at Whidbey General Hospital reported overhearing an ER patient make threats over the phone.Saturday, Dec. 18At 11:28 a.m., a citizen reported that someone tampered with a lock on the door of a Front Street building.Sunday, Dec. 19At 1:27 a.m., a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI on Madrona Way.At 6:48 a.m., there was a report that mailboxes and newspaper boxes were destroyed along Engle Road.At 12:55 p.m., a possible drunk driver was reported on N.E. Ninth Avenue. A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.WASHINGTON STATE PATROLThe following items were selected from reports made to the State Patrol:Monday, Dec. 20At 5:05 p.m., a two-car accident was reported on Highway 20 at Race Road. Robert Cook, 55, of Coupeville made a U-turn on Highway 20 in his 1984 Mitsubishi pickup. Cook struck a southbound 1985 Mazda driven by 61-year-old Kenneth Hart of Coupeville nearly head-on. Cook sustained a bruised nose and Hart sustained a bruised right knee.Tuesday, Dec. 21At 3:45 p.m., a three-car, rear-end accident was reported on Highway 20 near Gainesburough Road. There were no injuries."
