Island County Sheriff Mark Brown is asking for the community’s help in locating a man suspected in a South Whidbey burglary.

Robert Dean Burns, 25, is a fugitive from justice and is wanted on warrants out of Island County, Oak Harbor and Renton, Brown said.

The Island County warrant is for third-degree theft.

Burns is also a suspect in a felony burglary case in the Scatchet Head neighborhood of South Whidbey, according to Brown. That burglary involved the theft of firearms.

“The community is really upset about this,” Brown said.

Burns was living in the Scatchet Head neighborhood, the sheriff said.

Burns is described as 6-feet tall and skinny with brown hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 9-1-1.
