Deception Pass bridge inspection rescheduled for Tuesday morning

February 25, 2013 · 2:25 PM

High winds on Highway 20 have pushed bridge inspection on Deception Pass back until tomorrow.

Drivers should expect some delays when crews from the Washington State Department of Transportation will close a single lane between 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26.

Workers from the Washington State Department of Transportation and the city of Oak Harbor are inspecting the utility lines that run underneath the bridge.

To ensure a thorough inspection, crews need to use a boom truck during daylight hours.

Drivers can check upcoming road closures on the construction update page at www.wsdot.wa.gov/Northwest/Baker/Construction/
