Parts of downtown Oak Harbor lose power last week

February 5, 2013 · 2:52 PM

Work crews repaired wires that knocked out power to parts of downtown Oak Harbor Thursday morning.

A Puget Sound Energy spokeswoman said a downed wire just before 11:30 a.m. knocked out power to about two square blocks in downtown Oak Harbor. The outage affected 56 Puget Sound Energy customers. She didn’t know yet what caused the downed wire.

Because the outage occurred at the end of a circuit, the customers will have to wait for workers to repair the damage. She estimated power will be restored by 4:30 p.m.
