December 7, 2012 · 3:56 PM
High winds and rough seas are prompting Washington State Ferries officials to cancel several Friday sailings on the Port Townsend to Coupeville route.
The 5:15 p.m. sailings from Port Townsend and the 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and the 6 p.m. sailings from Coupeville have been canceled, according to an alert from Washington State Ferries.
Motorists can take the Edmonds/Kingston ferry and the Mukilteo/Clinton ferry as an alternate route.
