A 29-year-old Oak Harbor man is facing a felony charge for beating a truck with a baseball bat, according to court documents.
Prosecutors charged David Glenn, Jr., in Island County Superior Court Aug. 7 with assault in the second degree deadly weapon. Glenn pleaded not guilty Aug. 20.
Glenn is accused of repeatedly hitting a mans pickup with a baseball bat and threatening to kill him, according to a report by Oak Harbor Police Officer John Little.
The alleged victim said he went over to Glenns house to check on the welfare of Glenns wife, the report states.
Glenn admitted to the officer that he was upset at Underwood because the 26-year-old man had an affair with his wife and wouldnt leave her alone, Little wrote.
If convicted of the charge, Glenn would face from three to nine months in jail under the standard sentencing range.
