Oak Harbor School Board to ask city for levy support

Leaders from Oak Harbor School District will attend an upcoming Oak Harbor City Council meeting to seek endorsement for the February 2013 levy.

The meeting is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 at city hall located at 865 SE Barrington Drive.

The district is looking to pass a levy that will raise approximately $7.3 million each year that will fund teacher salaries, textbook and maintenance and custodial staff and more.

If approved, a homeowner will pay $1.98 per $1,000 assessed property value.
