Naval Hospital Oak Harbor to hold flu shot clinics Nov. 1-8

October 30, 2012 · 3:06 PM

Naval Hospital Oak Harbor will hold two shot clinics in preparation for the coming influenza season.

Beneficiary flu clinics will be 1-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 at NHOH at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.

The Pacific Northwest flu season typically peaks in February or March. Flu shots are just one way to provide protection from getting sick.

Other good health habits include washing your hands often, not sharing cigarettes, towels, lipstick, toys, utensils, beverages or anything else that might be contaminated.

Always cough or sneeze into your sleeve and stay home when sick. As always, drink plenty of fluids and get at least eight hours of sleep daily.

For questions about the flu clinics, call 360-257-9554.
