A 19-year-old Oak Harbor man is facing a child molestation charge for allegedly having sex with a middle-school girl inside the movie theater at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station early this year, court documents alleged.
Prosecutors charged Kasey Maxwell in Island County Superior Court July 12 with child molestation in the second degree.
The mother of the 13-year-old alleged victim reported to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service that she was concerned her daughter had sex with Maxwell, according to the report by a NCIS special agent.
Witnesses said Maxwell and the girl disappeared to the balcony of the Sky Warrior Theater for about 45 minutes. When she returned, the girl said they “did it,” the report states.
In an interview with a special agent, Maxwell allegedly admitted to having sex with the underaged girl. He claimed the girl said she was 15 years old, but he acknowledged she acted and looked much younger, the report indicates.
The NCIS report states that a “juvenile offense report” was issued against Maxwell in 2010 after he was caught having sex with a 16-year-old girl in a car parked at the Sky Warrior Theater.
