Coupeville Marshal’s Office probes missing arrowheads

February 21, 2012 · Updated 2:03 PM

The Coupeville Marshal’s Office is investigating the apparent theft of arrowheads from the Island County Historical Society Museum.

Coupeville Town Marshal Lance Davenport said the incident is still under investigation, but a person apparently walked off with the arrowheads, valued at several hundred dollars, sometime last year. The person was said to be associated with the museum.

The marshal’s office wasn’t informed about the theft until a report was made and a tip was provided.
