Snow and ice closes Whidbey Island libraries
January 19, 2012 · 10:34 AM
Due to continuing unsafe weather conditions, all Sno-Isle Libraries community library branches and library offices will be closed Thursday Jan. 19. Officials hope to return to the regular schedule Friday.
Homebound library customers are reminded that Sno-Isle Libraries provides 24/7 virtual library service through its website. This service enables library customers to browse for books, CDs, DVDs and other materials online and place them on hold for later check-out. In addition, the website enables customers to renew their materials online (in most cases) to avoid overdue notices, as well as download digital materials, including music, for their enjoyment during their weather-caused time off at home.
