Claire Marie Lastinger arrives Jan. 2 at 2:20 a.m. to become the first baby born on Whidbey Island for 2012. First-time dad and mom, Aviation Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class Cameron and Bethany Lastinger, both of Lusby, Md., agreed they could not have asked for a better delivery at Naval Hospital Oak Harbor. Claire weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured 19 inches. Cameron works with the VP-40 FightingMarlins’ Maintenance Department.
