Army helicopters to train at OLF tonight
December 15, 2011 · 1:24 PM
U.S. Army helicopters will be conducting training in and around Outlying Landing Field on Central Whidbey today.
The training will occur throughout the evening hours and is expected to begin at 5:30 p.m. Army officials are warning area residents that they may notice a difference in aircraft noise as the airfield is typically used for carrier landing practice by jets from Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.
Anyone with questions on the training exercises can contact Maj. Mike Burns at (270) 412-8108 office, (931) 472-4770 cell or mike.j.burns@soar.army.mil.
