On Tuesday, July 19, U.S. Representative Rick Larsen, whose district includes Island County, will host a telephone town hall with constituents from across the 2nd Congressional District to update them about his thoughts on the debt limit debate and the work he is doing to tackle our nation’s debt and deficit problem.

Larsen will host the call at 5:55 p.m. from his office in Washington, D.C. to speak with constituents from across the 2nd District.

“The impact of defaulting on bills that America is committed to paying is too great. If the president and Congress fail to avoid default before the Aug. 2 deadline, it will hurt our economy and middle class families in Northwest Washington," Larsen said in a release. "I am hosting a telephone town hall to give constituents an opportunity to ask me questions and share their thoughts about how to find meaningful deficit reduction and avoid default.”

Free call-in number for constituents is 1-877-229-8493, code 18502.
