The Island County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating 81-year-old Betty Tews. Tews went missing from her Oak Harbor Area home sometime prior to June 21, 2011, according to a news release.

Tews is described as frail and needs medication. She has no family locally and out-of-area family members do not know her whereabouts. All of her vehicles are accounted for and it does not appear she has made any travel arrangements. Her bank account has shown no activity since she has been reported missing and her disappearance is considered suspicious.

Anyone with information about Tews is requested to contact Detective Rick Felici at 360-678-7967 or the county tip email at Tips@co.island.wa.us.
