The Trust Board of Ebey’s Landing is holding meetings next week for people interested in the Farm Exchange Project.

The meetings will be held Friday, July 15, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, July 16, from 8 a.m. to noon, if needed. Both meetings will take place at the Reuble Farm located at 593 Fort Casey Road in Coupeville.

The meetings will allow people interested in participating in the Farm Exchange program to ask National Park Service Staff any questions they have.

The National Park Service has 300 acres of farmland it acquired in 2000 because it might have been developed for non-agricultural uses.

Officials want to transfer the land into private ownership. They hope to find landowners willing to place conservation easements on their property in exchange for ownership of the publicly owned farmland.

For more information and to schedule a meeting time, contact Karen Hossfeld at 678-6084, or email Karen_Hossfeld@partner.nps.gov.
