Another former Oak Harbor city councilman is hoping for a comeback.

Larry Eaton threw his hat into the ring Wednesday when he filed for position 2 on the city council. The seat is currently held by incumbent Beth Munns, who is finishing up the last year of her first term. She filed for re-eleciton Monday.

A retired high school history teacher, Eaton served eight years on the council in two separate terms. He joins Paul Brewer in becoming the second former councilman this year to seek one of the three open council positions.

Brewer, who served three terms on the council for a total of 12 years, is vying with Mark Wiggins to fill position 1.
