Island County judge hurt in motorcycle crash

A judge for Island County District Court was injured when he hit a deer on Highway 20 just north of Coupeville Sunday morning.

The State Patrol said Peter H. Strow, 59, of Langley was thrown from his motorcycle after the 2011 Honda CBR250R he was riding hit the animal on the highway near Sherman Road at roughly 5:45 a.m.

Strow was taken to Whidbey General Hospital for treatment, according to the State Patrol. The accident is under investigation.
