Oak Harbor police are investigating an alleged strong-arm robbery that occurred early Sunday morning.

Oak Harbor Police Chief Rick Wallace said a 19-year-old man was walking down NE Seventh Street at about 4:40 a.m. and was attacked by four people. The robbers reportedly assaulted him and took his cell phone.

The young man then went home and told his mother, who called 911, Wallace said. The victim wasn’t able to provide any description of the robbers, the chief said, so detectives don’t have a lot to go on.

Anyone with any information on the incident can call the Oak Harbor Police at 279-4600.
