Senator Haugen speaks, parties at Rec Hall

On Saturday, March 12, Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen (D-Camano Island) will be taking questions and talking about what is going on in Olympia at 2 p.m. at the Coupeville Rec Hall.
Sunday, March 20, she’ll return to the Rec Hall to take part in the Whidbey Island Democratic Party Anniversary Party in Coupeville.
The Whidbey Island Democratic Club will celebrate its 14th anniversary and hold its annual meeting at a party on Sunday, March 20 at the Coupeville Rec Hall from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Election of board members, awards, and a membership drive will be part of the celebration. New members are encouraged to join.
The guest speaker will be Tom Riggs, Island County Democratic State Committeeman, on the topic of “Economic Justice.” Elected officials planning to attend are Prosecuting Attorney Greg Banks, Commissioners Helen Price-Johnson and Angie Homola, Treasurer Ana Maria Nunez, Clerk Debra Van Pelt and Town of Coupeville Mayor Nancy Conard.
