Habitat for Humanity of Island County announces the completion of another house on Whidbey Island. Dorothy Avila and her two grandchildren will be the proud owners of the new home on Summit Boulevard in Oak Harbor.

Habitat for Humanity partnered with Saratoga Community Housing on acquiring the land off Summit Boulevard to build two Habitat Homes. This joint venture was made possible through the generosity of Bill and Kathy Massey of Oak Harbor.

Habitat for Humanity partnered with Jon Roberts of Cascade Custom Homes to build Habitat House 23 in a three-week “Blitz Build.”

An evening of celebration will be held Thursday, July 1, at 5:30 p.m. as the home is dedicated. Visit www.islandcountyhabitat.org or call 679-9444.
