Whidbey islanders hold prayer events

Thursday, May 6, will mark the 59th annual observance of the National Day of Prayer. Several events have been planned for Whidbey Island.

Community Prayer Rally, Thursday, May 6, 12:15 to 1 p.m., at the Island County Courthouse steps, Seventh Street in Coupeville. Contact Angelie Graham, 678-3959.

Oak Harbor High School Student Prayer Rally, Thursday, May 6, 7 to 9 p.m., in the gym.

Teen Prayer Rally, Friday, May 7, 7 to 9 p.m., Evangelical Free Church, 874 Plantation Dr., Greenbank. Contact Alysia Jones, 360-720-1374.

Island Prayer Rally, Saturday, May 8, 12:30 to 3 p.m., Pacific Rim Institute at 180 Parker Rd., Coupeville. Hot dog barbecue and soft drinks provided, bring salad or dessert to share. Contact Alysia Jones, 360-720-1374.
