Raven Rocks Gallery at the Greenbank Farm presents “Friends & Family: Portraits of life, the art of Anna Davis and Gemma Insinna.”

An opening reception will be held Friday, March 5 from 5 to 8 p.m., and the show continues to April 1.

Anna Davis, of Whidbey Island, was born and raised in the Northwest, whose natural beauty is a continuous source of inspiration for her. Her portraits of people and animals are described in a gallery news release as “strikingly clean, touching a place in the viewer that evokes the comforting presence of a friend, loved one or precious pet.”

Gemma Insinna has been surrounded by art and creativity all her life, having been raised by parents who were both accomplished professional artists. Following a career as a fashion designer in New York City, Insinna received training in sculpture and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy. In her words, “Art in every form of creativity … remains for each successive generation, and benefits mankind forever. “ Her exquisite oil paintings, both impressionistic and abstract, will become a part of the permanent collection available at Raven Rocks Gallery.

Raven Rocks Gallery is located at Greenbank Farm, 765 Wonn Rd. C-101, Greenbank.
